Health and Safety - An Introductory Guide
Health and Safety Management
Manual Handling
Health and Safety Management is one of the requirements of the Managing Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (as amended) for ensuring a systematic approach to health and safety within a set framework.  Successful implementation of a Health and Safety Management system should result in a more consistent approach to Health and Safety, improve levels of health and safety within the workplace, and ensure continuous year-on-year improvements in health and safety standards.

Our course provides an introduction to health and safety management, using the well-established model introduced by the HSE (HSG65).
Our Introductory Guide to Health and Safety is a bespoke service in which we take on the job of briefing your new employees on health and safety as part of their induction.  This is particularly useful if you take on large numbers of employees at set times of the year.

Please note that before we provide this service we need to have sight of your standard Induction Pack so that we can notify you of any omissions or changes that may need to be rectified to comply with your statutory obligations.  From this we write a bespoke presentation that covers all the points your employees are likely to need to know.
Musculoskeletal upper body injuries and particularly injuries to the back are one of the most common types of occupational injury and it was with this in mind that the Government introduced The Manual Handling Regulations 1992.  Back injuries are very serious because they can permanently damage the invertebral discs and leave the sufferer in constant pain.

Our Manual Handling course contains practical exercises and a presentation to ensure your employees know how to lift items at work safely.
