Accident / Incident Investigation
Working with COSHH and CHIP
Our accident / incident investigations training involves everything you need to know, from managing the incident in a calm, organised manner; preserving the scene of the event; interviewing witnesses; identifying the causes of the incident and ensuring any recommendations you make are practical and in proportion to the level of risk presented by each hazard so that they are implemented and similar future events prevented.
This course is best taken along with our Introduction to RIDDOR (Reporting of Incidents, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) course.

Hiring and controlling contractors on your sites are a necessary part of running any business - sooner or later, things will need fixing that cannot be done in-house so someone from outside the business will have to be brought in to do the job.
This course looks at everything from checking out Method Statements prepared by those tendering for a contract, through to ensuring it is adhered to by the Contractor’s personnel for the duration of the works (and what to do if it is not and why any employer in this situation should be concerned).

Hazardous substances can be found in use in most workplaces - even if that only means the chemicals used by cleaners to clean your premises. Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH) any hazardous substances must be properly risk-assessed and the level of risk managed through the implementation of appropriate risk control measures.
As well as looking at the use, storage and disposal of hazardous substances, this course also takes a brief look at the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 2002 (CHIP).
