Lone Worker Risk Assessment
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 places set limits on the level of noise that an employee can reasonably be exposed to.
Our assessment involves monitoring the level of noise in a specific area of the employer’s premises and asking staff working in that work area about what risk controls are already in place.
The resulting report gives details of what levels of exposure to noise employees currently face and if this is above the statutory limit what further risk control measures should be introduced to reduce the risk of hearing impairment or loss.
Working alone is something that suits some employees, but others can have negative effects which can take a heavy toll on staff less comfortable about the isolation this involves, with a resulting detrimental effect on their psychological well-being as well as their standard of work.
Carrying out a suitable and sufficient risk assessment of lone workers avoids putting people at risk by ensuring the proper risk control systems are in place so that workers are not left performing their work for long periods of time entirely without proper checks to ensure their well-being.

All businesses in the UK are required to carry out regular premises risk assessments to satisfy the requirements of Section 3 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999.
Our Premises Risk Assessment service uses our health and safety professional’s training and experience to identify hazards, assess the level of risk, the adequacy of current risk controls / working procedures, and recommendation of further risk controls or changes to policies and / or procedures if current measures are inadequate.
